Crafts anyone?

How about… porcelain painting! All you need is porcelain paint, brushes, an oven and something to paint! I bought my paint here (they also sell it in paint markers.)

Get some thrift store mugs and snazz them up or buy some very basic porcelain sets and customize them to your liking. I spent about $15 dollars on all my supplies and I have lots of paint left for future projects.

You bake your finished porcelain in the oven at 350 degrees for about 30 mins and it cures the paint to the surface (permanent and dishwasher safe). Since many ceramic materials cannot withstand sudden changes in temperature it is recommended that you place your piece in a room temperature oven and allow it to warm up with the oven. After 30 minutes, turn the oven off and allow it to cool back to room temperature gradually.

I also included a little magic in making these. I painted a rune for good health in the bottom of each cup. (heheh this step is optional)
