6 Cool Movies for Holiday Co-viewing December 18 2014

Are you ready for a Holiday break? Have you seen "Home Alone" one too many times? Since we can all use a little chill time, here's a list of films for all ages that you may not have seen.

"Town Called Panic" is the mad-cap adventure of Horse, Indian and Cowboy, three roommates who live in the aptly named town of Panic. Using hand-crafted toy miniatures and stop-frame animation, this Belgian film is a wild ride through earth and sea. And if you don't speak French, remember to turn on the subtitles. "Trash Dance" is the story of Austin sanitation workers and their  journey into the performing arts. The film follows local choreographer Allison Orr, as she gets to know local sanitation workers and invites them to participate in her one-of-a-kind performance. Orr proves, once again, that art can be found and made in the most unlikely places. Watch the TRAILER

If you love music and stories about real people, "THUNDER SOUL" is for you. In 2009, Alumni from Houston's legendary Kashmere High School Stage Band return home after 35 years to play a tribute concert for their beloved band leader, Conrad Johnson, who turned the struggling jazz band into a world-class funk powerhouse in the early 1970s. "Jiro Dreams of Sushi" is the story of 85-year-old sushi master and owner of Japanese restaurant Sukiyabashi Jiro, the most famous sushi restaurant in the world. It's a tale of passion, inspiration and family.

"The Way Things Go" is part kinetic sculpture, part scientific experiment created and filmed by Swiss artists Peter Fishlii and David Weiss. The 1979 video captures the mesmerizing chain reaction, all crafted with every day objects. And if you're feeling inspired, go make your own chain-reaction movie.
