OV DRAWING CHALLENGE #1 - QUICK DRAW December 10 2014
Do you like to draw? If so, here's our first drawing challenge. We got this idea from a favorite workbook called The Art of Getting Started by Lee Crutchley. Lee is an artist and designer who also writes books. He has a lot to say about the creative process. Mostly, he says "JUST DO IT."
The challenge is to draw super quick portraits. A portrait is a likeness of a person, usually a face. Grab your brother or Mom. And if no one else is around draw yourself or a photograph. Draw really fast. Why? So you don't have time to think about what you're going to make. You just draw for fun. Easy, right?
For starters, give yourself 5 seconds, 10 seconds, 30 seconds and 1 minute. You need a timer or just count in your head. And of course, you need a drawing tool and something to draw on.
Here are a few quick portraits Max made of his sister. Have fun. Ready. Set. Go.
